The cube sits there next to me, surrounded by it's cardboard prison. Mocking me for not trying its inner delights. Oh, how I want to rip open it's plastic packaging and taste the delights of playing with a monkey in a ball. Oh, how I want to run down the trench of the Death Star using only the force.
But alas, the force is not with me today. Exams have supressed it, leaving me with 17 A2 modules to learn for. Only then can I enjoy the three dimensional square's 1's and 0's...

Sitting in front of the big grey DVD player, I felt bored. The interest in it had gone. Even the once fashionable blue/black PS2 logo had lost it's chic.
So, I marched into my local EB, knowing all the while that, whatever I did, I wouldn't be playing games until after my A2 modules. But who cares? So long as I can sell the PS2 before the price goes down, and get a GC now, I'll be sorted for after the exams... surely?
So, walking in the PS2 and 3 games, I walked out with a black cube, SMB, Rogue Leader, an extra controller (in solid purple) and a memory card...

Still, if you spend all day looking whistfully at the box, things might not go so well...
; )
I got very good grades in my mocks and they were all past papers anyway. We had them spread over 1 and a half weeks and I barely revised. We have the real GCSEs spread over 4 weeks so I'll be alright.
I've started revising for Physics, but that's it.
All my coursework with the exception on Stats and Graphics is also very good. A* in English Language, A in Literature, A* Biology, A in Physics, A in Chemistry.....D in Graphics and C in Stats. Stupid teacher told me it was worth 5%! It's worth 40%!!
Oh well, at least I can still pass my Graphics with a reasonable (and achievable) percentage in my exam. My mate needs 97% on the exam just to reach the very bottom C grade!
Me thinks he's failed, especially since he only 50% or so in the mock. :-D
I quoted wrong.
It's:
"YEEEHHHAAAA!!! You're all clear kid, now let's blow this thing and go home!"
That's better.
It's amazing. Truly amazing. Absolutely stunning. Go play it Sonic. The pad is awaiting you to slowly carress it's smooth plastic, rotate the analog stick 360 degrees clockwise and slowly press down on it's delicate shoulder buttons until you both here the satisfying click.
Ahem....:-D
I will probably get my Cube sometime soon and will be ripping it open straight away and playing it whilst 'hopefully' revising for my GCSE's.
How can you just let it sit there, aren't you even tempted? Anyway, you must be proud of yourself. For that self-displine you should pass all your exams.
Well done.
And happy Cubing for after :-D

I just talked to my friend a second ago and he got his from the same Comet about 2 hours before me! Damn him!
So I had to get it from Tesco, and the service was apalling!! But still, I got my Cube (black) and I got my memory card and I got Rogue Leader.
All for 190 quid. Expensive? Yes. But it's my brother's money. That's why I'm not playing it now. He is. It's his, but I'll be buying one when he moves out of my room, and I'll get it for a hell of a lot cheaper. Online and all individual.
Rogue Leader is great by the way! The snippets of dialog as you're flying down the Death Star trench is fantastic.
"Use the force Luke!"
"The force is strong with this one."
"YEEEHHHAAAA!!!! Good to see ya kid. Now let's blow this thing and go home!"
The atmosphere is truly brilliant!
Now Sonic, you know you want to go play it. Give in to the dark side of the force! Oh....If you only knew the powers of the dark side!
> OI!!! Get back to your learning of 17 modules!!! If you've got time
> to post here you've got time to play your Gamecube. So go on. You
> know you want to :)
Heh! How ironic. Why not play on the Cube for an hour then revise for an hour thus the revision sinks in as your playing. It worked for me during GCSEs (on the N64) and it will work for me now. But if you don't think you have the disipline then you'll just have to sit their and watch your Cube from it's box, or better still, actually get down to some revision!
;0)
