The cube sits there next to me, surrounded by it's cardboard prison. Mocking me for not trying its inner delights. Oh, how I want to rip open it's plastic packaging and taste the delights of playing with a monkey in a ball. Oh, how I want to run down the trench of the Death Star using only the force.

But alas, the force is not with me today. Exams have supressed it, leaving me with 17 A2 modules to learn for. Only then can I enjoy the three dimensional square's 1's and 0's...

FLASHBACK--->

Saturday, 4th May. 2:00pm

Sitting in front of the big grey DVD player, I felt bored. The interest in it had gone. Even the once fashionable blue/black PS2 logo had lost it's chic.

So, I marched into my local EB, knowing all the while that, whatever I did, I wouldn't be playing games until after my A2 modules. But who cares? So long as I can sell the PS2 before the price goes down, and get a GC now, I'll be sorted for after the exams... surely?

So, walking in the PS2 and 3 games, I walked out with a black cube, SMB, Rogue Leader, an extra controller (in solid purple) and a memory card...

I've only got 5 Maths As's, a Double Computing exam and a Double Physics exam between me and my Gamecube.

I've ordered the thing, I just have to forget it and get down to finishing my Coursework.

I have done exactly the opposite; waiting to buy the Gamecube until after my AS exams, on the 12th of June. I have no willpower, you see.

I sold the cube now to get the most from my PS2. As time goes by, the amount I can trade it for decreases.

Also, you get less for selling than for trading, so, as good as your idea sounds, it just wouldn't work.

Anyway, I drove my folks to London on Sunday, and, since he had nothing to do, my brother was allowed to play the cube! He even had the ordacity to say that he'd prefer if I'd got an Xbox! The cheek!

It's packed up now, and, for some weird reason, I haven't got any inkling to play it. Am I getting old?

Sonic, just one thing. Why get the CUBE now? Why not wait till after your exams to get it? I Understand you are disciplined enough not to use it with your exams in mind but bear with me.

Buying now and not using it, effectively means you will have a shorter warranty on the product!

Also you could have sold the PS2 and put the money in the bank to gain some interest.

At the moment that money is doing nothing for you and sitting in a CUBE just gathering dust...

just a thought...

Well Sonic considering you are not allowed to play it yet i pity you, i pity the fact that you are missing the greatest space shooter ever in the form of rogue leader, i'm sad that you can't play the amazingly addictive affair that is Super Monkey Ball, I'm crying that your missing out on the excellently clever Luigi's Mansion and dying that you won't be enjoying the jaw dropping Wave Race....

Heh like making drip noises when you need a pee isn't it.
