I have had it with Nintendo!

First of all, the late release date of the Gamecube in Europe, then Smash Brothers is no longer a release game, then we get some pretty crappy launch games and now this!

----Begin Rant----

As many of you know Luigi's Mansion is a great game (http://www.ukreviews.com) and as many of you will also know, Luigi's Mansion is a very short game. Because of this most people will want to rent Luigi's Mansion, as they will probably finish it by the time it needs to go back.

Well guess what! Nintendo hate us so much they've stopped every game rental place in England (not sure about the rest of Europe) from renting out Luigi's Mansion so now we'll have to buy it! That really is low! I think Nintendo really need to improve their attidude towards Europe or maybe we'll stop buying Nintendo. I really think that Nintendo should wake up and see that if they keep on screwing us like this we will lose intrest in them.

I just hope in future Nintendo will stop thinking of Europe as second class, and improve their relationship with the cutomers.

----End Rant----

Thanks for reading

Why don't U start you own business call it Sh*tbag and make your own games. Makes millions of £'s and then create a console better than all of the rest. Then you can make a super long games with superb graphics and excellent 'rental quality'.

xlrougexl. think about what you are saying. if nintendo let blockbuster be rentin' it, no one would buy it. the block buster peoplke would rake in all the money, and nintendo would lose money on luigi's mansion. if they did give blockbuster rental permission, then they would love europe so much, there prepaired to lose money on us. Dumb a**e!

I agree with outback Ash.
You will only finish Luigi's mansion quickly if you play it to complete it and not to enjoy it.It is only short if you rush through it.

But surely, if a game is addictive enough, you will be playing it none stop. I was playing MGS2 none stop and when i had finished it, i said that it was a poor game and that it didn't last very long. Then, i read one of El Liquido's posts and realised that Konami spent more time on "those little detail's" than on an ever lasting game. MGS2 lasted me 11hours, firstly i thought that this was a very short time as games like Tomb Raider 2 had lasted me months. Then i realised that, as i have said before in this post, that most of the time was spent on details. I mean, how much time must have been spent on Olga's armpit's and the little Raven toy? I mean the little foam bullets that come out of Raven's gone must have taken days. O.K so i was joking, but on a serious note, if you look at what you can do on the game you will be amazed. If you shoot someone when up close to them, your visor will get covered in blood. Well, this is the Nintendo forum so i don't expect any of you have taken interest in what i have said so i'll be on my way back to the sony forum. For those of you that have read then thanks, but i expect you already knew what i just ranted on about.

The problem with Luigi's Mansion is that it is so good you want to see everything, but if you play for 30 minutes each day, check every room you can {some are always locked} and just take your time Luigi's mansion can be a very long game, i bet you just sat in front of your TV and played it non-stop until the end and rushed through it, in that case Luigi's mansion is about 4 hours long!!!! :)

Like the sad person i am, i was reading the outside edge of a late PS2 game disk and it says "no lending" among many other things. I suppose for some gullable person, this will save them money but for many more it will just be like nothing happened. I mean, are Sony really going to chase you up, take you to court and sew you for a couple of quid(maybe a bit more). Well, i don't think they will, there must be thousands of us that lend games to each other. After all, it's a way of friendship, a way of socialising, a way of boding and most inportant of all, it's a way of saving some pennies.

I admit i may have been a bit harsh, I did eventually go out and buy Luigi's Mansion but finished it the same day. I'm pretty sure most of you will agree that £35 for a few hours gaming isn't worth it, but £3.75 for 3 nights renting is, and 3 days will easily give you enough time t finish it. Luigi's Mansion is hardly a game that offers a lot of replayability and so i think that Nintendo making it a "buy only" game was underhand.

I get NGC magazine, which is totally independant. They have it 90%, and siad it was definately worth getting. I have bought it, and I love it. It may be short, but its great.
