Grix told me.
Are you sure.....or are you just pulling my leg?
Is it that difficult for a girl to be a gamer? Every boy that I talk to thinks I'm a bit of a wierdo, but I think that we should have the same rights as boys/men when playing computer games. Are we meant to be playing with Barbies, and baby dolls....because if we are...there is definatley something wrong with me! I have never liked Barbies or baby dolls, like many of my friends did, and when I played on my Gameboy they thought i was some freak. Thank god for computer games.
Now....
just to be sure that Grix wasn't pulling my leg (and I'm sure he wasn't), if there are any other female gamers on this site that haven't spoken up yet........
put your name below......
and if you're not female...
put your name below as well

If all women are like this, I think I'll stay single for the rest of my life.
(What do you mean? It's not as if you have a choice.)
Thanks brain.
Now I am married and I am still a mad gamer but alas my wife hates all computer games with a vengeance (except "you dont know jack" on the PC but everyone likes that as it is damn funny). I wish I could convince her that games are fun and just good entertainment but she thinks they are just childish toys.
If more women played games then gaming might loose its image of a pastime of sad, childish men. Also if more women were involved in the development of games then maybe we could move away from the ludicrous breast fixation that has taken hold in video games recently (DOA, Lara Croft etc). This sort of sexual vouyeurism in games only reinforces peoples preconceptions about games and gamers and does not do us mature gamers any good.
So all I can say is that all girls and women are welcome. We gamers should work together against prejudice of any kind (whether it be sexism, ageism, racism or anything else).
See learn from this and you'll win!
I'm hoping that in the time I'm revising for my mocks (which will frazzle my brain entirely) something will inspire me to write something lengthy, and the of the type that will win me prizes.
But nothing like that has happened yet!
(That's when Spidermans hidden assets were discovered.)
I've got all the games you said guru. :)
And I've got Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, and Diddy Kong Racing (Good single player, rubbish multiplayer.)
Getting Zelda Majoras mask when it comes out (Won it, *smug*)
