Just in case any of you out there are still paying for your electricity using a electricity meter which is coin operated you'll perhaps not be glad to know that the xbox power consumption is almost 100 watts. The dc in comparision is 12-18 watts and the ps2 is in theory upto 50 watts but won't use anywhere near that unless you insert a hard drive in the back. So the xbox is taking upto 8x as much juice as the dreamcast and probably about 4 times as much as the ps2 (unless you add the hard drive). In fact it probably consumes more power than your tv. A first for a console I believe.

Yeah but its been cut down. Instead of the 512k or 256k of cache that normal Pentium 3's have its only got 128k like the celeron. So its a sort of hybrid between pentium 3 and celeron. Cutting down the cache actually helps the cpu run more reliabily and aids cooling but obviously has a nasty knock on effect with regards performance.

Well its a Pentium 3/Celeron. Its got things the P3 has but it doesnt have everything, so really its a hybrid of the P3 and celeron.
