So close.

You know, ten miniutes before the end I said "Wait for it, Forlan opens his account with a forty yard screamer into the top corner."

One of my mates then offered me 500-1 on that happening.

It nearly did...

Well all of you have summed up the night already so there isn't much for me to say :D

But "FORLAN, Goooaaallll..oohhhh....SOLSKJAER..ohhhh i was sure Forlan would score when he hit that and same for Solskjaer but...

Pity if we had a Free Kick just a few yards from the box in the 94th minute we could bring Beckham on just for that although it wouldn't do his foot any good. :D

Blame Fergie!

He said he hoped the ref would "let Keane play his natural game".

Which he did.

So it's hardly surprising that nothing was done when the fouls started flying in! :-)

Fergie should have been more specific. Maybe something like:

"I hope the referee lets Keane play his natural game, but books anyone else who tries kicking chunks out of someone."

I have to agree that the ref was very poor, he seemed to be going around with his eyes closed.

And people say "All refs love United"!!!
I really have a HUGE grudge against that Dinosaur-necked Danish wan.... now - even bigger than before!

It also started when he sent off Beckham for touching Simeone's bum, and it's got worse ever since. I seem to remember I also had a few dis-agreements with him last season, and also in the year before, but last night just summed it all up for me - some (even many) refferees nowadays need to be shown and taught how to control a match properly and make the RIGHT descisions!!
I've said before that a '3rd-Eye System' should be introduced, and know I feel it stronger than ever!!

Forget United for a minute, what if he makes MORE mistakes this summer!???
And it may not just be England (again) who find themselves out of the competition, holders France or even Italy or Brazil may find that bad descisions have led to them being shown the back door!!

If it wasn't for ALL of those bad and wrong descisions, then we may have stood a better chance of scoring at least a 2nd goal!

I couldn't believe it when Keane scored, and I was in mid-air as Forlan's first United goal somehow did not arrive.

Oh well, there's always next season for trophies.
And I will give that Kim Miltion Nilsson a piece or two from my mind if we ever meet!!

You have to believe as a football supporter..

if you don't whats the point of it all?

We played badly against Bayer, but then we crushed Deportivo and Juve in their own ground a few seasons ago.

anyway at least we get to play some of the finest teams in the world at latter stages of the European Cup.

You also believed that about Ipswich, West Ham and Bolton though! :-)

And if you play anything like you did home or away against Bayer, you don't have a hope of winning.

Heard a United Supporter making a interesting comment on the news this morning...Last time we won nothing was in 98. But look what happened the next season in 99 :)

Hopefully the players will have the extra hunger to win next season after walking away with nothing this year. Although I believe Everton could hold Arsenal to a draw at Highbury if we can beat them at OT.

There's still the league....

Oh.

A killer time to concede a goal though, we were flying before half time, but they had the better of the start of the first half because of it.

The referee was crap, and didn't give so many blatent free kicks, for both sides.

And yes, I've hated the away goals rule ever since the 3-3 with Galatasary at OT.
