It has recently been announced that Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 is in production. So now is the time to speculate. What would you like to see in Rollercoaster Tycoon 2? What improvements need to be made to make the game more enjoyable?

I feel that cheat ruin all games; I only ever use them if I really have to. Still, RT had some good cheats, if you call them that, like when you typed in certain names for some of the guests and they went round painting pictures of the rides.
There where a few others of course, but they weren't serious cheats that would effect the game play much. I wouldn't ever use a cheat that would unlock all the levels or get infinite cash though, because that would defeat the purpose of playing and enjoying the game in the first place.
Anyway, extremely looking forward to RT2, it's looking and sounding every bit as good as the original game. Another game I want to play right this minute, but again I have to wait.

RCT is the most addictive game I've played for many years, but like other games its ruined by cheats, developers need to put them in to add to the lifespan, but cheats can really ruin a game.
To get all that you did, you either played for 48hours non stop and are excellent at games, or you cheated/found out the 999 rating trick. Even these little hints and tricks ruin the game..

Did you ever consider trying different levels? And for those who think it's naff because you build a great looking rollercoaster and nobody will go on it I recommend you visit www.rollercoastertycoon.com and look for tips on building a great coaster (It's been updated celebrating the announcement of RCT2 so I'm not sure whether the tips are still there)
Speaking of RCT2, I think building a coaster should be similer to Theme Park World i.e. more freedom for building coasters.

Did you ever consider trying different levels? And for those who think it's naff because you build a great looking rollercoaster and nobody will go on it I recommend you visit www.rollercoastertycoon.com and look for tips on building a great coaster (It's been updated celebrating the announcement of RCT2 so I'm not sure whether the tips are still there)

I don't think graphics were much of an issue with the original game. It was the limited rides and the variation of the rides. It does seem that some people are more adventurous because some of those rides are mental.

Looks like the original graphics wise. Too much really.
In a way it's good as it should run on my computer still that way.

I reeeeely reeeely cant wait for RCT2!
I've been looking forward to this sinse the last addon came out. What it needs is loads more new themes, and a complete overhaul of the peeps in yur park. They need old people, young people, macho guys and whimps. Ther need kids, and people going around in groups, like a group of teens on an outing, or a family. That way, you'lll have more of a challenge to provide things for a variety of people.
I think they should include car and coach parks, not just having a stream of people coming in.
And I think thet they neeed to look at the graphics, and make them beter, and improve the rollercoaster sounds, cos that was dead annoying.
It may seem like im picking everything to pieces, abut I reeeeeeeely love RCT, and I hope RCT2 lives up to the expectation!

RCT is a funning fantastic game!

Oh yes just a little thing this but you know when you clicked a person to see where they was going and it had heading to "so and so ride" but when you picked them up and put them there yourself it would forget where they was going and wonder around again so maybe that could be fixed.

I would like to see customisable Roller Coaster types. Where you make the type of rollercoaster, not just the layout. You choose a simple type (steel/wooden/water) and then design what it looks like. Kind of like the Sim City 2000 buildings designer kit thingy.

i disagree with you there atx, I found RT very addictive. The tasks are what keep the game freash and challenging which is exactly what all management games (except the sims it appears) should strive for. If you like management game I can't see how you cannot own this title, definatly worth the money.
