The game could be where you choose the type of animal you want to be then it takes you to your animal's habitat. The game would be one where you have to hunt or feed in some way to survive and have to evade danger as it comes from the predators around you. So say you chose a cheetah as your animal, the game would take you to africa. Then you could start the game with a training mode to teach you how to hunt and all. the teacher would obviously be your mother (in the game not in real life!). Then after the training mode you enter the proper game and to start off, your first hunt!
With an energy bar for each time you hunt it goes down while you are sprinting after your prey. A health bar that gradually goes down after each missed meal. But when do you catch lunch your health and energy bar go up. Then grdually when you go through the game you become older and find a mate then have little cubs. The game owuld get harder then because you would have to watch yourslef from predator, lions and hyenas, while also watching the cubs from the same threat.
If you chose a different animal say. . .a whale, the training type of mode will be different. Basically the same thing happens in the game as the cheetah but with a different area and different hunting techniques. As a whale you may need to join a group or opt to stay alone and do things the hard way. Rounding up large amounts of fish would sure be easier with some others helping! The same with the mating and having the. . .what ever they baby whale are called!
To make the game last longer there could be some special games added that you have to earn. Challenges like where you have to hunt down and kill as much prey as possible in a certain amount of time or it you have to scare and fool some grasing animals into lion territory for them to hunt with out getting hunted your self! There are several other possible little extra things that could be added.
I think this will get repetive and boring though after a while once you have have completed the cycle once or twice with any animal. But I think the graphics and gamplay would be something special. In Ecco the Dolphin the movement of Ecco is very life-like and I htink they could do this with this kind of game if they bring one out. The areas that you would roam around in would have to be pretty big and look very good aswell. It owuld be quite fun for a while just to explore the levels and all of the little details that coul be added! The most detail I've seen in a game is in MGS2, so why can't all games be like it? The graphics on MGS2 was superb aswell and the best I've seen for the PS2. If only game developers spent more time on the games they make they can have bothe graphics and gameplay and make a load of money instead of rushing games and selling little amount of them.
Anyway. . .with the power of the consols these days games can be more detailed without sacrificing gameplay wich in my view is far more important than graphics. So the attention to detail should never let up in games of the future including one like this animal simulation. The gmaelpay of this game should be quite good and easy to master because there wouldn't be that many things to do so again it would get boring but might be quite exciting and educational for the younger gamers but might get rated for older people because of the killing and blood but kids see this on TV on wildlife programmes so there should be no problem with that. With this kind of game don't you think it would be fun to see what it is like to live and survuve as an animal?
So what do you think about this kind of game and what kind of animal would you be?
> i don't like simulation games, such as flying games
i'm not keen on flight sims ether
Basically, your TV screen becomes a big fishtank that holds Seaman- a fish with the face of a human.
By speaking to the fish through a mic add-on, it would have pretty intelligent conversations with you. It would even look at your Memory card and ask, "Why are you playing so much Sonic Adventure? It's been 4 days since you spoke to me". The game came out in Japan and America, but not here (unfortunately I didn't import).
Ok, so mayb not anything like your idea... but just as original!
