"PS2 A Good Console With Great Games!"

Hey everyone
I want to know how you all feel about the infamous PS2. To me the PS2 is a console with everything you could ever need right down to the adapted controller. Technically speaking I think the Game cube and X-Box are good to but the one thing that push's the PS2 over the edge is the great selection of games available eg. Final Fantasy X. If anyone feels the same or just plain disagrees then state your case for or against it in this forum!

I don't pretend to know much about gaming but i know what i like, why i like it and that is all that matters to me. I don't really care about the extra pressure you can apply to the PS2 controllers what i care about is the games and if i could sit down and play them or not.

Their games are original but they are extremely random! i mean from Pokemon snap to Mario kart. I know they have some good games like zelda but i believe that PS2 games are the best to play.

i said blag - because nintendo define originality and probably make the most original games around

Surely you can't have forgotten GT3? Most PS2 owners put that on their list of "killer apps" to persuade others to buy the console, despite it being mind numbingly boring....

Mr Chain Saw simply say's "Blag!" but why is this? I believe that people will stay loyal to sony and buy their ff's for the PS2 and not the game cube because PS has done a good job in the past and i believe they will in the future.

I think i've implied that there are lots of great games and no one can argue with that now.

If indeed it is coming to the Gamecube it isn't a case of Nintendo buying it from Sony. Squaresoft make the Final Fantasy Series which started on the NES then moved onto the Snes. They only moved to the Playstation because Nintendo decided to stay with a cartridge based system.
Admittedly Sony own a stake of Squaresoft, but they don't make the games, just have a financial interest in the company.
