Certainly am. It was part of my course at uni and part of my job now! I do a lot in my spare time too!
Paint Shop Pro is a darn good program to start with. It 'borrows' a lot of elements from Photoshop so if you learn PSP to a good degree you'll have a head start with Photoshop.
We currently sell PSP7 for about £80, which sounds like a lot but it is a good investment, however never ignore ebay for stuff like that. You could probably pick up a second hand copy of Photoshop 5 on there for about the same, they are on 7 now so the old versions won't be worth as much as they were!
It wrecked my server, as the power fluctuated.
Do you know anything about GIMP?

I sure hope not!

that happened to me once.
Luclkily my laptoip was nice and charged up so at least my work (on comp) didn't die.

Well i got on with PSP7 quite a bit and was starting to get good (until it expired)
Im sure there are better programs then that though but if there was a program which was really easy to use and could produce really good images then id be happy.
Do you know of any like that?
Im sure my dad gave me a book on Photoshop and it was MASSIVE! It looked really complicated but i think that if i want to succeed then i should give it a go.
I'll have a look out for that magazine.
Do you know anything about GIMP?
My dad put it up on my PC but it also looked complicated and i just didnt know how to start off at all.
Its just the terms of things that sometimes baffles me and also how to actually get started with something i want to do. Programs with all those things that you have going on the screen at once just confuse me and i avoid those but id like to know just how to get started and what everything means and i'll be fine.
Im sure that there will be tutorials on the net somewhere though so i might just have a little look around.
hhhhmmmmm
So, are you a graphic designer Hybrid?
:)
