It was reported today over at a German site I believe, that Sony are going to wait and see how the monthly figures for May stack up in favour of the Gamecube before announcing anything.
Don't blame them, there in a good position, they're not under any real pressure to adopt a price-cut me thinks.

I've heard the price of £164.99 mentioned. I dont know how soon... but i think its within a month or so. I guess i all depends on how many XBoxs sell for £200.
I think just before the gamecube is released the playstation 2 will drop in price as it will try to get people who are buying the gamecube to buy the ps2.

They will be looking at what happens with GC and X Box sales before they do anything. Sony dont need to rush into anything yet as they have a solid user base already installed and they have enough top quality games coming out to continue to drive hardware sales.
