They're all missing the point. All this my one's better than your one malarky is a waste of time. Do what I do. Buy them all (see the tagline).
No problems. You can get any game that's released. If one goes belly-up, it's not a problem, you've got 2 others to fall back on (not to mention the GBA). You end up with the back of your TV being a mess of wires, connectors and hardware that would set H.R.Giger a-trembling. Lovely.
And don't give me any of this I can't afford it crap. Get a job. Or another one if needs be. What are you? CASUAL gamers? Huh?
Job's a good'un.

S'obvious innit? The Lord Gates is going to redeem our sins via the medium of broadband gaming in the lounge.
We're saved, I tells ya.
If you dont understand something delete the rest and just quote the bit you are talking about.
You boys.......

What do you mean by that.
It had decent platform/adventure games (mario, zelda, banjo, shadowman, Conker, etc), and it had decent first person shooters (Goldeneye, Duke Nukem, Turok, etc)
However, it had nothing even half decent in the way of racers of fighting games.
That's one awfully big gap that nothing's filling, and that's why I felt let down by the N64.
The N64 was absolutely brilliant. It never "missed the target" at all!
Well, i don't really care what some Microsoft loving dweebs say about it, i had some of my best gaming experiences with my beloved N64, multi-player GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart/Tennis/Golf/Party and F-Zero were ace! Not forgetting Zelda:OoT "The Best Game Ever"
The problem was that there were a lot of games like Superman 64 & Carmageddon, but there were more better games available for the N64 than there were bad ones (unlike the PSOne which had mostly poor games and only a few decent title like Res. Evil, MGS, Final Fantasy 7,8,&9)

To some extent....
I reckon that every major console from the last few generations has had something going for it (except maybe the Saturn).
I feel that people tend to put too much emphasis on the previous machine from a company. Specially Nintendo - they seem to be consistently good (SNES, Gameboy family), except for occasionally where they miss the target big time (N64, Virtual Boy etc)
Enough of my muttering for the time being.
Fair point on the Nintie baiting.
BILL GATES IS THE SAVIOUR OF MANKIND!!!
It took some thought to sell my PS2, but I just realised I hardly ever touched it.
I like Sony, the PSone was excellent and I loved it.
The PS2 was good, without doubt.
I just didn't use it much unless a mate was over.
Therefore I sold it and haven't looked back to be honest.
I bait Ninty's because it's funny to do that, but at the end of the day I won't go near them because I felt conned with the N64.
Nope, it's the PC and Xbox for me.
Purely because they offer the sorts of games I like and the games I continue to play.
But yeah, that Gamecube...*phew* what a stinkloaf.
As for me, I've got all the willpower of a beached jellyfish. It's not a case of which console, merely when. It is perversely satisfying to see the cable spaghetti grow. Lord only knows why. There's probably some Freudian gibberish to go along with this, but I'm not even going to bother.
