I just played on a gamecube at stevenage yeserday.
These are my thoughts before and after Gamecube:

Before:-
The console will be about the size of a lunchbox.
Purple will look stupid. Luigis Mansion will be interesting.
The controller will be abit to small.
The D-pad and C-stick will be hard to reach.
The Z button will be hard to reach.

After:-
WOW.
The system is smaller than you imagine.
The controller perfectly fit's in your hands.
The C-stick is very eaisly reached.
The D-pad is eaisly reached.
The Z button is eaisly reachable.
Purple accutaly looks good.
Luigis Mansion is a load of lame cr@p.
Rouge Leader is ace.
The cheesy bit at the start of the Rouge Leader demo is hilarious.

Has anyone else played it?

i could say the same thing about the Xbox controller

at first "oh no its way to bulky ill never get used to it"

1 hour of Halo later "wow this controller is awesome it isnt bulky at all."

i cant judge teh GC controller as i have never used one for that matter i havent held 1!

This is not a console war, this is a debate about the gamecube controller. You are the one saying that the X-BOX has better visuals.

And there is hardly anything to tell Gamecube and X-box apart. There MAY be better specs BUT can you tell the difference between 40fps and 60?

How can you say that?? D XBox grafics r much beta den d GC cos GC is not very gd and it is beta then the PS2 but not d XBox. Ahhhhh man. See what you have done now Mystique. I've now been sucked into the awful "[---enter console name here---] is better then the [[---enter console name here---]" world. Eh eh eh! Bah!

*Waits for some console nut to come in and rant on about how the Cube or whatever has far superior(sp) graphics and that you are stupid for saying such a thing*
(That wasn't my suttle way of doing that)

The graphics on all three systems are practicly the same, and this post is just about the controller.
But all the other aspects of the Gamecube are spot on.
