All I was doing was pointing out how one form of blanket hatred is as indefensible as another. It's been quoted on these forums before, but the poem 'First They Came for the Jews' pretty much sums up what I feel about creating a pointless hierarchy of prejudice:

First they came for the Jews

Hating blacks is different to hating gays.
Hating some on grounds of their skin is just sick.
Hating someone on homosexual grounds is not as bad.

I kind of agree with what you're saying, Game.

No, I think you're mistaken about definitions of political correctness. Political correctness is when nurseries cannot sing 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' to toddlers. That is crazy. But to try and maintain that any discrimination of blacks, gays, whatever, is just as 'PC gone wrong' as the above example is an abomination of the truth.

Notice how once again, this topic has changed into something about your opinions on society, rather then the actual topic. To be honest, it's his opinion, even though he's said he was joking, he still could of mean't it and that's his decision.

On the Gay/Black 'hatred' theme.

If you have something against black people, it's most likely because of the way they look.

If you have something against gay people, it's most likely because of the way they act and the things they do.


There's a fundamental difference between those two reasons, that's why it can easily be seen very differently by different people. That's as much as I'll say for fear of getting drawn into an unwanted debate here...

Although, to be honest what I said wasn't entirely true.

I'm not gay, but I don't hate homosexuals; what I abhor greatly is what they do. It isn't right... It's not natural... God/Mother Nature made sex to re-create... the day the bible is rewritten or the day men can have babies, then I might accept what they do... although i'll still hate it.
