Im just complaining a bit about Microsofts X-Box price slash!!! Fair enough it's a great deal, but what about those people who paid £299.99 on launch day? ... Well you get 2 free games and an X-Box controller. But thats unfair if you already have 4 controllers! I have heard many people say that they would not have any use for another controller. I haev 2 controllers, I would have no use for a third which is unfair on me and other X-Box owners, and we were the ones who paid the full price!!!
2 Free games, well that is good, but what if there are no games you want at the moment! And X-Box owners are pressurised to chose two before a certain date, and you can only chose some from a short list. Again, that's unfair!

Im sure that if X-Box owners who paid the full ammount for their console, were told that in three weeks time there would be a slash of £100, many people would wait before getting one. I would!! Instead we are forced to haev another controller msot people dont want and two games we are forced into getting... And we aqre the ones who paid the full price to show our dedication.

And why dont X-Box refund the difference??? Cos they want a guaranteed purchase of their products!

I have to confess I am not pleased at all with Microsofts deal to owners. I dont care what anyone says..... but im sure deep down every owner would rather have £100 in their pocket than a controller and two games. That £100 would give me freedom of choice, which I wont be getting! Especially when Microsoft said themselves that they would not be dropping the price!!!!!!!

Thanx for reading.

What the hell is wrong with you blahpro I am here in Ireland and we paid 600 Euros for the XBox on the release date and thats £400 sterling by God we would be very glad of games instead of the £100 because it costs us 70 Euro and thats £44 sterling each game and the controler is £25 and that is 41 Euro and that = £113 and sterling and thats 184 Euros OK we might not need the other controler cause we have 2 allready some thing might happen to 1 and we will have 1 spare and when we baught it it was just the XBox and the boys had to buy a game and another controller on top of that

They should have though about that before selling it!!!

You say that they could jsut not give anything..... BUT THEY HAD TO! They would have been taken to court and thats a fact. Its against trade descriptions act.... they cant just release a new product for £300 and then slash teh price to £200 in three weeks!!!!!!!!!! They cant do that without compensation!!

I hope you understand that Microsoft would have trade decsriptions hot no their feet aswell as angry customers if they did not compensate.. and its a matter of fact blahpro, THEY HAD TO COMPENSATE!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY SAID THEMSELVES... THEY WOULD NOT LOWER THE PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you just get the games, don't remove them from their wrappers and take them back to a retailer?

Just say you lost the receipt (God this post is useless) and say that you want to change them for something else.

Ignore that, it is total bollards....

Shoot me,

Oh GOD guys! You are so ungrateful! They could of not given you anything in return. Or even worst, not dropped the price! Come on! You could sell them If you really wanted to!

Microsoft won't give you back the £100 because it costs them more than that to make the controller and games! For the offer that MS are doing at the moment, it's costing them only £20 per person - 1/5 of the price they lower it by!

'stephen the champ', i think you have really summed it up! There is no reason as to why they cant refund X-Box owners? It would be soo easy to give everyone £120! They just want to guarantee a sale of X-Box software and hardware!

I will feel slightly more happy if I find out you are aloud to get a free DVD Kit instead. But really I dont think any of us should be in this situation, where we feel we are scrounging around forcing ourselves to get two free games that deep down we dont really want!

IF ONLY WE COULD SEE INTO THE FUTURE....... I WOULD HAVE WAITED 3 WEEKS!

I totally agree, why should we have to settle with another controller and two free games when we could just have the £100! I wish id waited now, Were all loosers! All the people who were thinking off getting one are deffinetly going to now, and they get to keep £100 to themselves and get any game they want, it just shows how much us lot care and this is how they repay us, TUT TUT! :(

I wrote the post about getting a DVD kit or memory card instead of the controller. This is still only a rumour, as someone of the official Xbox mag forum said so. He said he rang up Microsoft and they said that he could change the controller for a DVD kit or a Memory card.
