What the flaming heck! I know OPSM are harsh with scores but how can they give FF10 8/10? I know u may say...'Well u aint played it so u wont know' but comeon how can they say Classic final Fantasy in the review and give it only a 8? If it was classic FF then it would get a nine...oh and i have played it by the way.

Got my subscription copy of Playnation yesterday and they give it 8 out of 10 also.
I can see u liked it very much from your tagline Kr.
the reveiwer was very picky and the game (from playing the demo) deserves at least 9/10 and it looks like it could be fun.

The demo of FFX is pretty good I thought. I think I could understand why it only got 8 since a lot of it must be fighting.
Anyway, what annoys me is that Grandia 2 only got 5/10. I have never played it myself but it is what they say about the gameplay that I find pretty stupid.

Surely that's all there is to FFX? It may be done better, but in the end, that must be what it's all about.
And I'm seriously considering getting 'Deus Ex' now, after reading the review. I did have it on PC but my PC couldn't handle it. I had to run in a safe mode window (very small) and even then, no text would show up properly. And the speech was really jerky so it was basically unplayable.

i have never bothered with the Final Fantasy series, buying the mag today so i might aswell give it a go.

NHL rules but come on people...this god dam official mag is really extracting it from me...they always say in previews...this is gonna be the best game eva..then they give it stupid scores...take games like blood omen...they sed 'This is shaping up to be better than Legacy of kain and a brilliant, if not better, tomb raider style clone'...so how can they then go and say.....'Good story line but dull gameplay'...come on....talk about contradicting yourself. Same with Super Trucks. They did a massive preview saying that what they played was excellent...so why the 4/10 score...its not as though the games gonna get worse from the preview copy. So that was my point...oh and why did they give FF10 game of the month when Deus Ex got a 9? CRAZY!
