X-Box, PS2, Game Cube. whatever.
Why would I want any of them? My PC allows me to play games of greater graphical quality, and in most cases, better gameplay and lastability. and if i ever want something different, well, i'm still getting decent mileage out of the greatest console of all time imo - my SNES.

I bet setting up a lan network would be too difficult when you've been to the pub

Surly after going to the pub sitting around plaing 8 player Fifa is much more fun than setting up a LAN game?

Hence my SNES i guess eh. Besides which, should more action be required, my flatmate has a (seldom used) PS1. If I really want to do something with my mates though, i'll set up a LAN event, or go down the pub. Sitting around like a bunch of kids playing 8 player Fifa really doesn't appeal to most of the people i know, unless they are under the influence of things they shouldn't be under the influence of.

Yeah thats a good point why people buy consoles for multiplayer gaming.
