ive been lookin forward to this for ages now u gotta pay well in that case they have just lost a costomer :)
am i wrong
what do u think?
> i woulden't get it, there is no point
Why is there no point? The only problem I see with the game is you have to pay to play. Hay, that rhymes.
I'd get the game, but I wouldn't pay for the online subscription, sounds like a very stupid idea, no doubt people will still buy it.
Plus a bet alot of people are like me and wouldnt dare buy or pay for anythink over the internet so maxis will loose on alot of money if they dont do it my way...lol :D
But i think it would be mint.

I think you've just got the origanal sims, not the sims online. You can't play the origanal sims game on the net, you can only swap stuff you've made like houses and people.
Having to pay to play the online version of the sims has put me off completely from buying it. I wish EA didn't cancel Simville, that looked ace. I guess money speaks louder than words for the company.
But it can also be worth getting 'Livin' It Up/Large' and 'House Party' for extra stuff to cram full your houses with.
Why the hell do we have to pay extra to play this game on-line when EA surely make enough cash from all there other games and fanchises!
Or maybe not. Their 007 games aren't as good as Rare's and other FPS's, and FIFA is complete cack compared to ISS and Pro Evo!
So maybe they do need more money, but this is a bad way to do it!
But still, they'll only be loosing their non-millionaire on-line fans, and those of us who like the off-line games will still be waiting for the next add-on pack.
"The game software will cost $50 and the monthly subscription fee is currently set at $10. Keep an eye on these pages for a full review before The Sims Online hits retail in early 2002. "
Not sure how much that'll be over here, but it seems payment is needed for the game and the monthly subscription. That article is about 9 months old though, so it might not be too accurate. Hopefully.
