Although it may have some impact on the GameCube's launch, most people though would be asking why the 299.99 has gone down to 199.99 while they are surronded by Nintendo advertisments.
Also, well done Nintendo for actually making a television advert that makes sense!!!! (Take note Sony and Microsoft).
"As a big "THANK YOU" to everyone who bought an Xbox before 26th April we are offering, until 1st July 2002, the chance for you to get 2 games and an Xbox Controller for FREE!"
What they really mean is, "Oh, s**t! We've had to drop the price unexpectedly because we're not shifting units. But the people who bought at launch will be majorly p!ssed off, so we'll have to bribe them."
Still, it's the thought that counts.

methinks they have been selling v badly and MS had decided they must try to get more consoles out.
I can't really remember it very well, but didn't they offer a free control pad to people that had payed £250? Though the scheme wasn't that successful i think???
That's great customer service.
Still not the console for me, mind you, but good on Microsoft, none the less.

Wow! At the end of the day you might even have enough money to pay for your bus fare home!
