I would like to state, as an owner of an XBox, I am sick of people slating the XBox in the forums. So what if the Gamecube is £170, So what if the PS2 has loads of games, I like my XBox. It has the games I like (Halo, JSRF, etc), and has superb graphics. For god sake give the XBox a chance before droning on about Micro$oft and price. It is the most powerful console on the market, and it is a competitor to the PS2, fact.

I have both machines and like them both, but for the moment I still prefer the PS2.
You're right that Xbox is a competitor to the PS2, but it has got a way to go before it is anywhere near taking the PS2's crown. It may happen, it may not - but it's not at the moment, and that's something everyone knows (including all three manufacturers), whether they like it or not.
Like you, I'm sick of the constant bickering over which is best. "PS2 is better than Xbox is better than Gamecube is better than PS2" - it's just a never-ending circle. So much effort has been wasted on the subject, and we're no nearer to agreeing on the 'best' machine, so why not go and discuss something more productive?
I thought football fans were supposed to be the worst for this "my team's better than yours", but there's hardly any of this nonsense in the Sport forum!
