After a brief spell of absence (As well as SlaveUnits), I have finally returned to the Web forum..
Main reason for absence, the corporate doom of WebSense, the filter from hell, the program of internet censorship... but thanks to finally giving in to getting a PC at home, I am now able to return to the forum...
**I vcan feel the shudders from here**
So now I'm back, I need to catch up on events...
Is Funkygamer still about?
Has View & Play finally died a death?
Is Turbo still preaching PHP and Linux (Soon to become a convert myself!)
Has anyone produced a site worth looking at yet?
Questions, questions, questions...
Bring me up to date guys...
In my life... Currently working on two new corporate websites as well as my own. Picking up XML, xSLT, PHP, and soon, Linux! And getting to grips with a 56k home connection (I miss my 4MB Pipe!!) And as for Windows 98!!! Arghhhh!!!

Or should that be the wrong place at the wrong time?? ;) Hhehe, there is no defence for owning anything MS in the eyes of Turbonutter.
Anyway, welcome back Tyla, you have been missed.

Actually, I hail from Rochdale, which ain't too far from old Manny, Leeds is a lot more cosmopolitan, dahhhling. Does that guy still stand outside Manchester Victoria selling "Manches' Heevnin' Kneeeewwwsss!!!"?

Eh! eh! carm down our kid! But apparently it's more stable now... All we need now is a version of Windows based on Linux... ;)
> Anyway... LEEDS!!! I live near there! Where abouts in Leeds?
I'll hopefully be living in Moortown by the end of May (ish), but you never know with these house deals, still waiting for the surveyors report, but I'm not expecting anything horrible.

Shame, missed all of that!!

> off you go ;) What is xSLT though?
xSLT is the code used to translate XML into HTML etc. Without it XML is useless as you cannot produce a site on pure XML. xSLT will take XML and render it into anything, and i mean anything... From HTML, xHTML, PDF, Word, Quark, PDA WML, you name it and xSLT can turn XML into anything, that's the beauty of it.
Any one can creat XML, but getting it to work is another question... Remeber my post on DTD's? Without a DTD, xSLT and XML is completely useless...
The future is bright, the future is XML...

I worry about you living in the same city as rob though...
Move to Manchester, much nicer place and lovely people *cough*.
