The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Basically, after spending a fair bit of time reading the forums this last weekend, I've to this conclusion:
You all need to relax more and stop taking this place so damn seriously.
It's only a bloody forum.
Why do you lot get so stressed about stuff. Does it *really* matter if the "XBox is gay"? Some people like it, so they bought one.
Some people don't so they haven't.
I know this is a DISCUSSION forum, so discuss. Why argue? What's the point? At the end of the day arguing solves nothing, but a good reasoned discussion can be etertaining, fun and good to read.
Things like "xbox sux, ur mum is fat" is completely pointless and no one wants to read it.
Relax, calm down, you'll enjoy this place a lot more. Believe me, I know ;-)
Anyway, that's about it.
I'm curious as to how many people have read this, so could you just reply with a "I read it", just so I know.
Cheers.

I didn't mean you specificly, you actually seem capable of earning respect on your own merits, rathing than doing as most others do, write a couple of lines about Nintendo that we've all read before and ten wet their knickers when it's not immediately raised to the status of 'best post ever'.
I'm not cynical. No, no, not me.

I'm not "wallowing in self pity" at all.
It's just with the large numbers of posts and users on here, I kind of figured that no one would spare the time to read a post by someone they hadn't seen before, as they'd concentrate on reading stuff from "tried and tested" people, for want of a better phrase.

Possibly from the fact newbies think that so many people diss newbies because they are newbies.
Hmm, I wonder how many times I can fit 'newbie' in to a sentence?
Ahem:
A newbie newbie once went to newbie on newbieday, when only newbies could newbie in public, due to the excess of newbieness when newbies were, in fact, not newbieing at all but were, as it happens, newbies.
Why do so many newbies wallow in self pity because they're newbies?
Where's all this "I'm just a newbie so no one will read this" crap coming from?
My opinion: If I read your stuff and it's dull I won't read anymore, regular or newbie.
Though on some days this forum is rubbish but others you can have really good conversations with people and enjoy youself.

This isn't the only forum on this site, is it.
Go on.
yes, you are a newbie because of the amount of posts youve done and stuff but you arent actually new.
most of us dont take the forums seriously so i dont know how you can say that.
most of the stuff today is about monkey's and lollipops.
