I want to update my current static HTML site hosted with Freeola to a Wordpress site using the MySQL add-on to VIP hosting.

How do I go about keeping the current site live whilst I build the Wordpress site using content from the live site?

Do I just recreate a sub directory and place all the Wordpress files in there?

Thanks for your help.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Sorry only just noticed your post...

Probably too late and you're all sorted now :¬)

What you suggest sounds fine - or you could create a sub-domain for the WP build.
Let us know how things went!

EDIT: Poking around it looks like you might not have changed things yet?
