I was intending to purchase the Dabs 'value' PCI ADSL modem, which was only £50, but they have now sold out, and will not get any more for 1-2 weeks.
I was wondering if anyone knew where else I could get a decent ADSL modem from, for under £90?
QXL have a 'buy now' feature on an 'Efficient Networks' PCI modem (£50)
Efficient Networks have just been bought out by Siemens, but I dont know if this modem is any good :)
Please help, Dan

They have allsorts, PCI, USB and Routers. That's where I bought my router and I'm very happy.
I still want info on this efficient networks modem though..
Anyone know if the SR ADSL modems are any good?
I ordered my connection way back at the beginning of March, I'm finally, nay, *hopefully* getting connected this coming Monday. The cause? Non other than BT ofcourse.
Trust me, when you get delayed a few months, dont blame Pipex. Oh and a piece of advice, when you are at the point where it's a week or two delayed, phone up Pipex and KEEP nagging them. If I hadn't phoned them last week and told them to get in touch with BT, there'd be no sign of a BT engineer this coming Monday and I dread to think much longer I'd then have to wait...
Oh, and I got the Alcatel modem direct from Pipex. Would've rather got a PCI jobby, but I'm not fussed now...just give me ADSL BT!!!
I hope I am too, BT was *very* quick getting my line installed, lets hope they do the same with activation.
Oh, and I've decided on the SpeedStream (Efficient Networks/Siemens) PCI modem. £60 with a filter and free shipping from Ebay
Thanks for everyones help, and I hope to God I dont have to put up with this
i went with pipex and i got mine activated 2 days before they said it would :)
