unless u can persuade me otherwise?
Zero
that is my only negative feedback with ps2
i really am stuck for choice :S
but i know one thing
xbox sux
I've never had any problems with the DVD player.
As for four player games, the PS2 is equally as good as Nintendo's initial lineup when it comes to multiplayer games.
GTA3 for one is a superb multiplayer game. Although you can't player simultaneously, it's still one of the most fun games you'll ever have the chance to play with friends.
There are endless sports games, and the likes of NBA Street really add a fun twist to multiplayer sports titles.
First person shooters such as TimeSplitters are also great to play with friends.
My personal opinion is that at least you know what your getting with the PS2. There's not a great difference in price, and really the quality of games currently available, and soon to be available on the PS2, make it the ideal console to buy.
1. already firmly established in the console market.
2. has stronger support from 3rd party developers then nintendo.
3. as for the dvd player its given me no problems, yet.
4. already has large variety of every type of game,(action, adventure, strategy, beat em up)
5. best controller around.
6. it has a huge amount of games, mgs2, devil maycry, gta3 etc.
7. has a good number of highly anticipated games in develpment
8. will have internet, eventually
9. and a good price especially in the uk compared to usa's $300
10. has a great range of platinum games i.e. games like onimusha, doa2 for just £19.99
I dont know what it is (maybe my TV) but i have absolutely no problems with my PS2 DVD player.
If you get the widescreen thingy that may just be the DVD or your TV. There may be some options to change it if you want.
I think im able to do the widescreen thing but i dont do it because it looks worse.
ah well.
PS2 has got loads and loads of great games already out and continues to provide more of the great games.
The gamecube has got the games that are fun and enjoyable to play and will last for a long time.
What i think you should do if you have the money,
Buy both, they are both great systems and will provide a great gaming experience.
Maybe even pick them up second hand for cheaper and for about £500 altogether with a few games and both consoles, i dont see where you can go wrong.
If you really have to choose one then i dont know,
i want them all because they are different and have thier great things about each of them.
I have a PS2 and it is brilliant. Im sure the cube will be great too.
Buy them both and keep them for a while, then if you prefer one over the other then just take the non desired one back and keep your favourite. Or if you like them both them keep them both.
