OK peeps. I've got a drum machine, a guitar, a microphone, a load of effects pedals and a couple of minidisc players. The challenge I have set myself tonight is to record a track worthy of releasing...nae...UNLEASHING to anyone that wants to hear.

Tally ho, see you in the morning.

If you've got a mixer on your PC, turn the treble right down. That's how I recorded everything as it was too fuzzy otherwise. I just turned the treble back up to how it should have been and you couldn't hear a bean.

Same problem for me too.

Work should be more considerate.

Well, here it is!

It's a disgusting piece of cheese that sounds like it's been drained through a sieve. when I get back to Uni I might do a studio version and then you lot can see the difference.

Enjoy!

Nearly there. I've got a nice and cheesy electronic drum part over most of it, and then some tonelike noises on a delay pedal. Should be alright - I'll finish it off in a minute.

Just a tip:

When I record into the PC, I set the input levels REALLY low. Then use some program within windows to just boost everything. Seems to cut out the fuzzines that way.

Hope it helps - although at 3 in the morning, I guess you have already done most of it!

Progress Report:

Right, I've got a couple of drum patterns I want to use. One is 70bpm and the other is 80bpm. I'm doing quite slow and electronicy. You'd be surprised how much of a difference that 10bpm makes. I've got a couple of melodies that I'm working around. One fits with the 70 and the other with the 80 (I've already got a guitar bit for the 80bpm one). Also, my PC has the fuzziest ever inputs that I ever did hear, so don't expect great quality.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
