€249 "roughly equates to a Special reserve price of £165"?? b******s...the price it should launch at in the UK is £150...it will be 249 euros here in Holland so stop cheating...

So true (the boxes were Euro signs I suspect). The RRP of the GC here ois £150. Except retailers (who take the majority of profits in the industry) have decided to add £15 to that. Even online retailers and mail order companies have hamperred Ninty's ideals.

I guess no one believed Ninty about the Project Dolphin costing £150 all those years back (well, look at the N64. £250 one week, and the £150 2 weks later!)

£165 is still cheaper than some retailers in the UK.

what i DID hear a while back (i swear i'm not lying) is that the games would only cost like 20 quid...or something...can't remember who said it...was quite a while back

If Special Reserve are selling GameCube games for about £37, then in the high street, they should retail for about £45. Thats how it worked with PS2 games anyway.

the retailers add an extra £15 because they want to make a bigger profit.

we should be rejoicing at £165 not poo pooing it! About £200 quid cheaper than the X-Box launch! c'mon, who needs a DVD player, hasnt everyone got one anyway.

No problems for me, £15 extra wont kill me but its not really on considering when i payed, it was £150, then they put it up a notch :)j
