Yes, he's been back for a while. I just wish the guy would get a life and realise he's not wanted.

I don't really care that much, I'd just prefer it if the guy was well and truly planned.

Oh yeah, and no, I don't expect Sniper would be respected if he came on as a newbie, and talks how he does now.

But he's already gained our respect. Yes he's changed, he's grown out of the forums in a way, but there are reasons for him being a Notable.

But it's true. I remember Sniper saying on the Life forum a couple of months ago that he keeps logging onto MSN again and again, just so someone would talk to him. He really is a great guy, and to be honest it's not all his fault he left. He's helped me, entertained me and others with some excellent non-gaming topics and some fantastic one-liners, and spent a few hours with me one night trying to get me started on MSN Messenger.

He played a big part in aking the forums what they are today. And despite what a lot of people say, these chat forums are absolutely fantastic.

I don't see anything wrong with an alias, I had one for the extra GAD - RupertWilliamSmith and I use it on odd occasions. I think the trouble comes down to being someone you are not or at least trying to.
Ok so most come here to win games but a lot of us actualy enjoy reading posts, posting our views. When someone goes about lying and cheating there way it not only is annoying but to me it seems like a kick in the teeth for SR, they run one of the best competitions I have ever entered (probably because anyone CAN win).

I don't dislike anyone here, the end of the day most of you are just posters, some of you are good friends too and people who gain my respect. I think that meeting people on here and enjoying what the post and their views is a lot better than someone trying to pretend to be someone else in order to win some games and films.
Well that is my view anyway.

No offence or anything, but it's people like me who are the new generation of posters at SR.

I like you, Grix, I rate you alongside Meka as the best two posters on the site, but I don't like the way you shield Sniper from criticism while criticising people exactly the same as him.

I think that's one of the first times I've ever agreed with you :)

On another note: Can someone please explain to me what's wrong with having an alias on the forums? Fair enough cheating then coming back with an alias after a banning is wrong.

But say you didn't cheat. You just used an alias like your normal username. Is there anything wrong with that? I mean there's Grix's Brain for example. As far as I'm aware, that's the same person as Grix Thraves.

And SR did an extra GAD comp where the aim was to get the best liked alias.

So what's wrong with aliases?

I'm beginning not to like you for judging him on hardly knowing him at all. I mean, if you were with us right from the beginning, and you still didn't like him, then fair enough. But your pretentious attitute which singles out anyone you don't really know blinds your judgement so much, and you can't see it yourself, which is upsetting.

All I'm saying is... don't judge him against us, newbies, regulars, or anyone. Don't judge him because he writes in txt speak, don't judge him because he doesn't make big gaming topics. He's a fantastic person, very shy, and I feel sorry for him every time you bad mouth him, because you really are in the wrong.

It's people like you that have forced him to leave. He's not like us.
