Until the Gamecube is released in the UK (although probably less time by the time you read this). The Gamecube has pre-ordered 250,000 Gamecube's already and with still a while to go, the fact that Nintendo have already sold over half of its allocated stock is a very pleasing idea indeed...

The Gamecube's release in Europe is the final next generation release before the war truly begins, the X-box seems unsteady, the PS2 is going strong with a massive head start and the Gamecube will do perfectly fine! The run up to the Gamecube launch has been an exciting one, just under a year after the Dolphin turned into the Gamecube the excitment kick started, E3 is where the titles were finally announced and then it got intresting. Adult titles were pouring in and then Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo fans were shocked by Capcom after revealing the Resident Evil series is moving to the Gamecube. This happened just after the Zelda shock which (depending on how you feel about the new look) is either a positive or negative outcome. But things are looking good, Sonic is now with Nintendo, Namco are releasing their major titles on the machine. Eidos and the Goldeneye team are back with Nintendo with Timesplitters 2. Then Squaresoft shocked us all again after ditching their long time rivalry with Nintendo and releasing Final Fantasy and other major titles on the Gamecube and Gameboy Advance...

The Gamecube is the N64 but a thousand times better and I found the N64 a damn good games machine. Roll on May 3rd!

Where did you get the whole of Europe figure from? All I've heard about is the 25,000 pre-orders for the UK.

Also...You can get some GC games for £34.99 from PLAY. They dont deliver on release date though...which is a bit crap. Only actually Super Monkey ball and Wave race seem like games worth buying at that price though...Rest are mostly £38-£39

I'll order Monkey Ball and Wave race from them. They'll probably get it to me on Monday after launch. That will give me the the Weekend to concentrate soley on Luigi's mansion which SR should send me on Launch day!

Apparently the 8 Megabit Official memory card will be released on June 1st. Which sucks. We gotta go the first month with just the 4 Megabit card...They more or less the same price as well...
