Over the next week or so I will post a day by day account of my experiences of the Destiny Beta on PS4.
There's not a lot for me to say about the Beta apart from this is me right now.

Then 2 days planned downtime to work on feedback for PS4/PS3 beta on 21st and 22nd.

How on earth do you work it out that there were more days open on the PS4?

Apologies. I had such high hopes but they all went South.
My diary can be summarised as follows:
Day 1: PSN Store down. Didn't get into it until 11pm. Started downloading.
Day 2: Grabbed an hour at lunch. Evening... busy.
Day 3: Busy
Day 4: Beta down
Day 5: Beta down
Day 6: Busy
Day 7: 2 hours of play
Or something like that.
If I had known I was going to be so socially active during the Destiny Beta I would not have created this thread. My bad.
I will post something on the Beta, though, as I feel it's worth a mention.

FIASCO!!
Dear Diary,
This is not the start I was hoping for. In fairness to Bungie they did release the codes when they said they would. I was a little busy around 6pm however it wasn't long after that I checked my account and there they were. What happened after that can only be described as a farce.
Trying to log into the PSN Store to redeem the code was impossible. The damn page just wouldn't load. I checked PSN Support and found that the Store was reportedly "Intermittently available". It would appear that the boffins at Bungie, Activision and Sony had not adequately anticipated a surge in traffic today.
My laptop sat there trying to connect to the Store as I thought of various ways of taking out my frustration. Would defenestration speed things up at all?
About four hours later the screen kicked into life and I was able to start downloading. I then switched on BF4 to kill some time.
To my surprise a short while later I got a notification telling me Destiny Beta had finished installing. I decided to finish my game (I was chasing the Mini Kamikaze achievement) and then investigate.
Within moments my hopes were dashed. Sony had lit a bonfire, only for them to duly wee on it from a great height.
My wait continues...
