Don't want to at the moment, because of that topic that's a lot of fun... but we seem to be getting quite a few people around here now that I think would enjoy taking part. No holdbacks or anything, just writing a story.

And putting it in here too.

Just thought I'd mention it, because I'm about to go and get food.

Get the names of those that want to write, and organise a roster for who writes in what order.

That way, the story doesnt veer off with some assmuppet writing about rallying or ponies.

Never seen any of them.

Sorry, but it's true. {:)

Does it have to be based around a film...?

Just as long as you stick by my rule: No more than two Grix's. {:)

Nah, I don't mind what it's about, as long as I don't get confused like last time, eh Grix?

And would it be possible to not mention Bill Gates?

Pb tried that with the Last Action Hero esque sort of thing, golden ticket situation. I know he wants to do it again.

But he's really busy at the moment.

Or, and here's one probably no one but me would like, the Godfather Trilogy.

Actually, that would be really difficult to do I guess. And I'm not sure how many people have seen the films.

Or a general story like the one where we seemed to travel between films. That way each time we go to a new film we have a new plot.

That way it would stay interesting, as if it got crap we could just jump to a new film.

Kind of like Quatum Leap. If you remember that...

Yup. The first three [bar the war one, which no-one counts] were successful because they were all based around plots that already exist. Well, near enough.

Star Wars was the whole trilogy, with more little plot-lines thrown in. Blade Runner was about gamers with chips in their heads and had to be hunted down, which ended up with Grix and Bill Gates having a fight to the death on a Street Fighter 2 cartridge, and then the Western, which was really based on every western ever, but set a bit... oddly, shall we say. :0)

I love complex plots, and I'm really inconsiderate when it comes to stuff like that. But if we're going to write something, we really need to base it around something we all know, like the Indiana Jones trilogy, so we get our confidence back.

One question:

If we do, can we KEEP IT SIMPLE!

So many times the plots had more twists that a real twisty thing and no one knows what's going on. So no one write. So the story dies.

Also, I know you like to keep it open ended, but if no one knows where the story's heading then they won't write anything.

I'm not saying we need to put the plotline in concrete, but a general gist would be handy.

Just my view, anyway...
