1st time I was 14 and took a coach with loads of blokes and my mate.
They gave me some of their beer.
Turns out it was laced with LSD.
Now THAT was an evening.
My first proper gig ever, and no way I can ever top it.
It was one of the first I listened to so thats probably why and I am learning how to fly now :)
Goatboy, I think I asked you ages ago.. have you ever seen Floyd in concert?
Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Rick Wright form Pink Floyd.
Barrett takes too many drugs and goes mental - now lives in Cambridge as a recluse.
They draft in David Gilmour to play guitar and sing.
They make good albums.
Roger Waters hates everyone, especially Rick Wright.
Sacks him during the recording of "The Wall".
Waters is obessed with writing about WW1 and his dad being killed.
Gilmour is obsessed with being nice and middle-class.
And chubby.
They release "The Wall" and Rick Wright comes back on salary only.
They all hate Waters, Mason quits and comes back.
They record "The Final Cut" and Waters quits.
Sues for the use of the name and loses.
Sulks a lot and makes excellent solo records.
The rest of Pink Floyd make 2 albums since Waters left, "Momentary Lapse of Reason" and "The Division Bell".
They suck, although "Lapse" does have "Learning to Fly" on.
They tour every 7-8 years or so, Waters still sulks although there is talk of a re-union.
When interviewed as to any new Floyd material by Q in 2000,Gilmour says "Not really."
Q asks him what he's been doing since '95.
"Gardening mostly"
"The Final Cut was the last decent Floyd album for me.
Then Gilmour ate some pies and got his mates to write the songs with him and we had to endure "The Division Bell".
Which was terrible.
"Take it Back" - Floyd do environmental.
Althought "Coming Back to Life" was pretty good.
Waters was the life and soul of that band I think."
I'm 17, I have Echoes, and Dark Side of the Moon, and I like listening to the music, don't hate me for not understanding a single bit of that post. :0D

> Oh, and Led Zeppelin have to be up there!
Led Zeppelin rule. I've got Stairway to Heaven on right now actually :D.
Sheep is very cool, as is Shine on You Crazy Diamond, One of These Days, Great Gig in the Sky, Echoes. Those are a good few to start with, me thinks.
