WRONG! The TRIFORCE is 100% made by Sega. That's right- it may be based on the GC console, but it was 100% made by Sega :) So that'd make them 1st party on that.
Mind you, most Sega arcade games are on the Naomi board at the moment- so they're 1st party on that too (they made the board).
However, things get MORE complicated. Individual departments, like Sonic Team, have allied themselves with one console and formed deals with the manufacturers- making them SECOND party.
Of course, most departments remain THIRD party, as does the company as a whole

i was trying to think of another word, but i couldn't. although, first and second games are usually better than third, cept' for people like capcom. that is definatly the case for playstation, cos' the developers can afford to just use A ton of fmv and cashcows and adverytising to get a wave of buyers and make a profit.
