Anyway the point is I want one but I only want to pay £200. In fact even if I had £300 burning a hole in my pocket I wouldn't pay £300 because I don't think it should be priced differently than the us and japan and its obvious that people either think the same or simply don't want an xbox.
Perhaps it is worth £300 but then again if its worth £300 why wasn't it sold for $400+ in the us?
Its pretty simple that Bill Gates and his cronies tried to rip off europe with a high price and surprise surprise they've now screwed up the launch in europe with very low sales. I'm sure they said something like "its only europe, those guys are stupid they'll pay 70% more than japan no problem". Well it seems that we aren't as stupid and gullible as microsoft thought.

yeah but even market leader Sony found sales dropping away fast after the hardcore gamers got theres. The ps2 only took off in the uk sales wise when it hit £199.

My mate, a user on SR (1/2pint) went there to visit his relatives on holiday; so he's bringing one back for each of us!!
It's a pretty good saving, and games/accesories are cheaper too.
Look on google for "australian imports", may work.
Rza.

And it only costs £230!!

*I hope I don't get banned from SR for this*
The next move is to sell things for the same price all over the world, but I admit that's a long way away from what BMW's doing, but we are getting there slowly... now for the games market to follow suit.
I'll be getting an Xbox but I aren't paying £300 for any console.
