I like the idea of Namco working on a Nintendo game - it could bring them even closer to Nintendo for any future projects, while we may also be able to get a real Arcade-feel from a Starfox game which is something Namco have been good at in Tekken and the rest.

It is a shame that we won't see another non-Space Shooter adventure here though, but anything that isn't a cheap rip-off like Star X on the GBA can only be good!

If any of you had bought the NOM magazine this month you would have already known about it's existence a week ago, and also it's called "Starfox: Armada".

My mistake, I'm new to ninty you see, the GC is my first nintendo console so I don't really know who develops what for the machine.

I like the sound of this new starfox game though, I think we could do with a few more action titles, and namco know how to make them.

You what?

Rare do not make Starfox games.

Nintendo made Starwing on the SNES, and Lylatwars on the N64. Those are real Starfox games.

Rare and Nintendo made Starfox Adventures, which is something completely different, it just features the same characters. If you took them out of it, you wouldn't know the difference.

Nintendo gave the Starfox franchise to Namco to make the sequel to Lylatwats because they're too busy to do it themselves.

Namco will make a brilliant space shooter out of it, and we knew about this ages ago :)

So Namco are going to make a more traditional Starfox game, flying and shooting as apposed to the adventuring of Dinosaur planet.

Sounds alright, but no doubt they'll be some people who will be pessimistic to the games quality because Rare are no longer in charge of the games development.
