Hi. It's about the reference part on the UCAS form. Now, according to the college, only my personal tutor, or someone from the college, can fill the refernce in - but after phoning up UCAS later on in the day, the operator confirmed that I coul get my IT teacher (or any teacher from secondary school) to do it for me.

Now, naturally I'm confused - so for those who have applied or are applying this year - who has written your refernce for you?

Thanks
Howard

Don't worry, I get to read what they've written about me before I submit it. And besides, there really is no kind of admiration between me and the college lecturers... they're all arrogant compared to my comp teachers. In addition, one of them's a doctor, so hopefully that will make a good impression.

Only a few girls have called me Howie. And yes, it is annoying.

Howie sounds very familiar, is there a tv programme with a character name called that, possibly a kids show?

Don't do what I've done on job/college course application forms, where I gave teachers who I *knew* would give me bad references, but were the only references I could give. No wonder ODEON didn't phone me back...

Don't make enemies of your teachers, it'll come back and haunt you some day!

Yeah, I thought that. Thing is, none of my college lecturers know a jot about me compared to those in comprehehsive. But college says I can't ask them - but UCAS says I can. Someone's lying...
