Thought as seeing how Halo is such a good game with so much to see a do, that we needed a chat thread.

So lets use this thread to share tips, multi-player ideas and game types, funny things that have happened, anything to do with the world of Halo.

Did you find HALO hard? How long did it take you to complete Halo? I think the hardest levels were the flood and the maw, other than that it was a piece of cake.

Only Buffy - and I'm not really sure of that.

I'm glad I bought it, yes. But there are still more games I want for PS2 at the moment, so I'm glad I didn't trade.

At least I get the best of both worlds, though. :-)

Cheers Wookiee.

You glad you got your XBox now? Any more games on the horizon you want?

I think that bridge resolves itself - I went elsewhere and did other things, came back to it later and it was fine.

I need help as well.

On level 6, the first one with the Flood where you have to find the Captain, you get to a room where the Energy Bridge keeps flashing on and off because the control on the far side of the gap is knackered.

How do I cross the bridge?

Do I just keep jumping and hope that I land when the bridge has reappeared? Or do I have to go on a huge hunt for a switch or something?

Cheers.

Sorry, I didn't word that very well...

The ledge I need to get to is way, way up on the side of the cliff; I don't mean the little ledge blocking my way.

Mind you, if I can get over that, there may be a Banshee further back which I can use - so thanks anyway!

i got stuck here too...anyway if i'm not wrong...it is actually possible to jump onto the ledge...goto the left hand side of the ledge (where the height required to jump is the least) and there you go...carry on soldier.

Assistance required please!

I've reached the "Final Run" section of Halo, where I need to destroy the last generator. I've emerged from the underground complex, and I'm at the section where, when you first come in, you find the Tank; there's a ledge preventing me from going any further back. There's a cave nearby with sniper rifle, rocket launcher and health packs.

I need to get up to a ledge, but there are only 2 Ghosts and no Banshee's - and so far I've not found any other route up. I've tried blowing open the tunnels, but that doesn't seem to work.

What am I missing?

Although there is a little underhand tactic you can put to use with a friend......

Play the level in Co-Op. One player holds back at a distance while the charges in gung ho style. Of course you'll die, but you re-spawn straight away ready for another run by either you or your partner.

Try making human bombs too. Tag your almost dead partner with a Plasma grenade and let him run at crowds of enemies, taking a number of them with him. ;-)
