In what has the be the most dramatic and downright depressing thing that has happened in a long while. After the poor sales of the X-box Nintendo did research in to European homes, out of every child aged 8-18 only 45% know the Gamecube exists and only 8% want one. This is shockingly low, Nintendo have cancelled online plans and will stop developing PAL games altogether.

Their reseach also showed that out of all people at the same age who don't have a Gameboy Advance, 79% want one. Nintendo have decided to push the GBA in Europe much more than before, advertisement is being increased and Nintendo are trying to make it cheaper for people to develop GBA games. David Gossan had this to say about the announcement:

"It is very sad that NINTENDO GAMECUBE won't be coming to Europe, die hard fans could always import though and the Gameboy Advance will be even better over here with more colours, more add ons and more games first!"

Many at Nintendo Europe have lost their jobs after the reacent announcement including head of PR Shelly Friend. NGC magazine who planned a huge launch edition with new look and even a DVD on the cover is apparently devestated and are considering becoming the best GBA magazine on the market. Cube magazine didn't have a lot to say, what they did say though was that they have always been an import magazine fo import gamers and they will continue to be.

It is a great shame that Resident Evil, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Sunshine, Metroid and Zelda won't be reaching these shores... excuse me as I find a corner and cry.

Hey! That site doesn't work, and whatever anyone says, I am not a tool! :0)

genral lee evil truly is a tool though, how in the world did he even believe this? :D

Guess who I am, WITHOUT looking at my reviews list or anything like this. You'll probably guess straight away. Two Regular's can't get it, they got Lil Hedgehog and Mystique, both wrong, as you can probably guess. I was Big, Horny Easta Bunny yesterday, who am I? :)

It's all a hoax Mr. Lee Evil. Nintendo are so bust that they can't afford to take down the site and Microsoft want as many people to fall for the hoax as possible before they reveal it at twelve today. They've even payed people like Goatboy and Your Honour to say that they own the console.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
