My house is worth around £300, 000. It is fairly small.
Then, in Turkey, you can buy a 20 bedroom hotel for 300, 000, complete with swimming pool.

Well, I'm off to Turkey...

You should be happy you don't live in Ireland.
Our old house(a small cottage) sold for IR£350,000 two years ago.
At 19 years of age, that begs the question: Where the hell am I gonna get that kind of money?!

Our house in Edinburgh is apparently around £135,000 because of the house boom thing.

Turkey is an excellent place to go on holiday, went there in the summer (Marmaris), very hot and beautiful, well worth investing into a apratments/hotel there -- guaranteed income, specially the hotels sponsored by British companys.

Renting? Ouch.

I don't want to have to rent unless I really have to.

Example of price rise:

My brother and sister in law bought a new two bedroom flat nearly 2 years ago for 70,000. This flat is 5 mins walk from our train station. We are about an hours train ride from London. Ideal commuter town.

The other month, a flat the same as his, in the same block, went for 105,000. 35,000 more, and is two years old.

Tidy profit.

Except when my brother goes to get a new place, that will have gone up as well, so he's not really going to win from it.

Want a cheap house? Live in Scotland. Or Wales. 's true.

I think i got my house for around 50-60 thousand. We've done it up a bit and 6 years later it is worth 110,000, not bad.

Think my house is valued at £65000

If it were in London it would probably be worth hundreds of thousands

Don't know why, London is going to flood in so many years

People should be planning to move
