Although I don't play on my PS2 constantly I do enjoy when I do and normally buy the "big" new releases. Unfortunately I seem to get bored and have so far only finished one of my games, MGS2. Why do I wonder from game to game when obviously the whole point to a game is to complete and beat it?? Are any of you the same??

I guess I'm the same.

Here's a good example.

The weekends just gone and as i'm well into Stuntman at the minute, i was on that all time. But this friday Pro Evolution 2 is out, so Stuntman won't get a look in after friday, cos i'll be on footy all time.

But, 2 weeks this friday, GTA:Vice City is out, and i'm gonna get that on day of release, so i recon Pro Evolution will be put back in box for a few days/weeks, and stuntman is back i 3rd spot, so won't get played for months. A nightmare!!!

One good incentive i have for completing games is to sell them on ebay.

Medal of honor i thought was very dissapointing, but i played it all the way through just so i could sell it on, and get £30 back on it.

That's my problem. I buy far too many games and move onto the next one without a moments thought.

If the game is *that* good, then I tend to stick with it till the end. But I'm usually playing 5 or 6 different games.

With me, its more of a problem of buying too many games at one time.

Usually if i buy a game on its own ill play it to the end and not get another one till its finished, which is what i want. But then say a Christmas comes up, and since im hard to buy for i just put some games on a list. Last Christman i ended up with 4 new games, and thats too many at once. So i start playing one, and then move to another, and so on until i dont play them. Hard to explain but true.

This always happens to me. I nearly get to the end of a game, get slightly bored, then usually it's time for a new game and the other gets pushed away. Sad, but true. :(

I can only put that down to you not being a particularly dedicated gamer. I don't tend to speed through my games, but I tend to play a level or two or a "part" every time I play. If I'm in the right mood though, I can sit down and play a game for a few hours (completed Blue Shift with moving out of my chair :D). If the game is pretty long (FFX, although shorter than the others), then I can play it for a long time. For instance, once I had a 5-hour session of FFX and then another time I played it for about half an hour. All depends where save points are and if I'm getting frustrated etc.

I used to be like that - most of my Mega Drive games remain unfinished. Maybe that's just because games were a lot harder then (I had cheats to access any level of the original Ecco the Dolphin, and I still couldn't complete it. Mind you, that game was a bit weird and never told you what to do).

Nowadays I try to get the most out of all my games. I usually try to get all the secrets and complete it more than once. Most new games contain different endings or different things you can do throughout the course of the game - if they don't you can always do it a second time just for the hell of it.
