Errr...

You say TimeSplitters 2 offers nothing new, then rave about this...

Can you say "MGS2"?!

:-)

Even Deus Ex had that feature. And Soldier of Fortune.

I love games which have unique visual styles, but with Timesplitters I personally don't see that. I just see basic workman-like graphics. I do like the characters though.
So far I've seen not an ounch of originality. It's reasonably enjoyable, but it offers nothing beyond many other shooters out there - so why the stella reviews?

The atmosphere and style of XIII looks excellent. The way the footsteps of the enemies are coupled with the visual "tap, tap, tap" is unique. And the gameplay seems to offer something new as well - the way you can pick up a dead enemy, carry his body and conceal it. XIII looks to me like a FPS with a difference - unlike Timesplitters.

Because it's FUN!

It has a unique visual style, and is ultimate proof that you don't need amazing graphics with stacks of fancy photo-relistic graphics, light-sourcing and fancy 5.1 sound tricks to make a bloody good game!

Bungie should take note of this before releasing Halo 2.

On this evidence, I will be taking my own advice and looking again at '13'.

I'm struggling to like Timsplitters 2.
The graphics seem bland and wishy-washy.
The gameplay is simplistic - in that I've seen it all before.
The sound is as basic as it gets.
I personally can't understand why so many reviewers have raved about it.
It's just seems like a decent shooter to me - a 7/10 game.

Tilt- theres the story mode with is like goldeneye- as you increase the difficulty the levels get longer coz of the increased number of objective.

Arcade mode has Perfect dark style challanges against bots as well as LOADS of multiplayer options.

Challange mode is kinda strage with little tasks which can be very difficult to get a gold rating on- which promotes replay.

I havn't tried Map maker mode but I expect it has the full package.

Havn't tried the level editor myself yet, but I'll keep you posted if knowone else answers you Tilt.

As for the bots in multiplayer - very intelligent. :-) Rather than just run around like mongoid zombies, they actually defend for you and work as a team. Very good stuff. :-)

Oh and one more question, how many different level themes can you use on the level creator, and can you do outside levels?
