Its been touted as a Metal Gear beater by some, brillient by many, hell even er-no says its fantastic and he isn't exactly MS best buddy.

No, but great graphics makes a game with great gameplay even better.
Remember, Graphics don't make the game...
I always get a bit uneasy about building games up too much. So even though I never expect gaming genius - Splinter Cell does look like it's shaping up to be a classic.
Can't wait for Splinter Cell. :-) One of the games I will be buying in November. ;-)
