Simple this.

I'll start the ball rolling by saying David Fincher. He's done 3 films (that count), and all of them have rocked.

Didn't Burton do a biopic of Ed Wood?

I still haven't seen that.. I can only buy it on VHS though and I know that as soon as i do it'll come out on DVD. Such is life.

Hitchcock, Sergio Leone, FFC, Scorsese.

I've been dying to see an Ed Wood film, Plan 9 from Outer Space is the one I'm after but keep forgetting. From what I've heard, I'm expecting myself to love it.

The Game was Fincher? I never knew that. I've got that on video actually. It's really good. A bit far fetched but good all the same. As Sean Penn is good in it.

American History X is brilliant as well,

Yeah, it's because Ed Norton edited it. They wouldn't let the guy keep his version of it so when Norton edited it, he sued the studio for some ridiculous amount of money. Don't think he got a penny though.

I never thought much of Fight club. Perhaps because it was so hyped up to me as my friend went on about for weeks non stop. When I finally saw it, it couldn't live up to my expectations. Thinking back upon it I did think it was really good but after seeing it again, I know that isn't.

American History X is another story though! Ahhhh, I love that film!!!

And have you not seen Alien 3?

If you like Fincher, and he is one of your favourite directors then it's probably best that you don't. It will just lower your opinion of him. By far the worst Alien film. Yes, worse than Resurection!

And what about Seven? You must have seen that! If not, go rent it! Or jsut buy it. You can get the 2 disc set for a tenner.

John Carpenter 'was' a good director with films like 'Assault on Priecint 13', 'Halloween' and 'The Thing', but hes really lost his touch. 'In the mouth of madness', 'Vampires' and 'Ghosts of Mars' were alright but hardly up to the standards of his earlier work.

What were they? If neither was American History X then you don't understand just how good an actor he is.

Every (ie Both) film I've seen Norton in has rocked. This should be no exception.

With regard to Lynch - you can't just have one idea that you want to put across, and a shoddy plotline around it.

I shied away from Any Given Sunday because it was American Football, which I loathe. I did order Nixon today though, which I have 4 star hopes for.

Ordered LA Confidentail as well, but thats OT.
