Right, I was reading through the UK Gold text page (411) and I came across some shocking news. Sky Sports are now planning to air all WWF events on Sky Box Office, after the huge success of the Royal Rumble, which is the highest-grossing wrestling event to ever be aired on Sky Box Office. Sky have bought the rights to every event now also.

In my opinion, this is a terrible move by Sky, but it's sad that people will actually pay 14.99 for a wrestling event, on top of a 30 pound + Sky subscription. I think the nerve that Sky have to charge extra is not only ludacris, but disgusting. I really do hope that they do what they do with the boxing, where they air it on Sky Sports about a week after being shown live. It's a longshot, but possible.

This really sucks, and I hope that Sky change their plans, or my WWF video collection as I know it may be doomed!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news,
Shaun.

I think a lot of people bought the Royal Rumble thinking that it is a one off and the Royal Rumble is usually good. But of course, money rules this cruel world and those fat cats at Sky want more money. I can see PPV popularity plummeting.

Ah well.

I just come on the net in the morning after an event and look at what happened on WWF.com.

I'm never paying the Box Office.

Bunch of poofs, Sky that is!

I agree that this is terrible and that they should keep it the same.
