Earlier on I found the biggest flippin spider I have ever seen in my Kitchen. It wasnt doing anything. Just sitting there on the floor not moving an inch. I just stared at it for a good few minutes and then slowly reached for a glass. I slowly moved towards it with the glass ready to cover it...just as i was about to put it on him it moved! Anyway, its under the glass now and has been for a good few hours now.

How long do these * last without air?

Ohhhh no actually go and put it in the freezer to freeze him up then make him alive after a couple of years by unfreezing.

If you squash them then you have to clean up the mess.

And there's always a leg sticking out somewhere to freak you out.

I find the winter edition of the Kays catalogue is very effective when doing battle with a spider.

I heard that they grow too when they're in trouble. Not sure where I heard it, but I think it's true. Anyway, you have a few options here. You could quite easily crush it with something like a lid from an ice cream tub or something. You could try and drown it with a bucket load of water. It will be messy, but will a) be funny, and b) get rid of the little pest. If all else fails, get a friend or a parent round (or awake :D) to sort it out.
