As you know Freeloader isnt out yet and there have been many different release dates given but none have proved to be solid.
My advice is simply to wait until Freeloader is actually released before ordering it, i would actualy recommend waiting a further 7-10 days after its release
so other people can be your personal guinea pig and test the software for bugs etc.
I did read that Datel have experienced alot of problems getting the actual software onto a Gamecube CD (hence the delays) and Nintendo have refused to assist Datel in this problem.
Personally i think its a little unwise to spend vast amounts of money on Import games that you are not 100% certain of being able to play yet, you would be better off waiting a little while to see what develops first.
Im not against Freeloader in any shape or form, infact if it all turns out fine then im buying it too, i just think that instead of spending your money now on something your told 'will work' you would be better off being patient for a little while longer and make sure it 'does work'.
Thx for reading.
This post was in no way intended to create any controversy around Datel or the release of Freeloader, my sole objective here is just to say "dont buy too many Import games just yet that you are not 100% certain of being able to play".
No-one would want anyone else to waste their money prematurely.
Even if the Freeloader gets released within the next 2 weeks (as Goblin say it will be) then theres no guarentee that the games you may buy will work on the Freeloader, just keep your cash in your pockets for a few more weeks, thats the intended message here.
Thx Edgy for clearing up the CD problem better than i did and also the reservations that Nintendo share about Datel.
Thx for reading.
"Yes, you did actually read that right. According to Datel, Freeloader will DEFINITELY, 100% be finished and shipping within the next week, which means that in less than two weeks, we should have Freeloader in stock and ready to sell to you, the lucky consumer!"
Hmm, Are they telling the truth or just bluffing?

Because Nintendo and Datel don't get on - Nintendo wouldn't license Datel, or 'Rocket Games's budget Game Boy Color games, and Nintendo tried to sue Datel, unsuccessfully, over the creation of GameShark/Action Replays.
