I'm agreeing with you man..
I'm not trying to take anything away from PS2 GTA3 owners...
Overall there isnt an enourmous amount of difference... but there is certainly a noticable amount of difference... (bear in mind that its been a fair few months since the original PS2 release)
I'm always suspcious of console converstions... when games like Resident Evil and MGS have been converted you generally just got a straight port of the console version of the title, with nothing to esploit the differences in the machine styles...
Not that I think the core game shoud change, just that
Games systems, graphic resolutions, menus, etc... which may work using a console, TV and joypad, may not work so well using a PC... the different machines have different strengths and weaknesses...
I just thought it was nice to see that a software haouse has gone to the trouble of making the game fit the system, rather than just stickking PC owners (a much smaller market share) with a straight conversion of the PS2 game...
And although I agreee the the changes look small, and some of the changes are there because of the strengths of PC display (higher-res, etc..)... As reviews of Red Faction showed back in 2001, cosmetic certtain cosmetic improovments are expected when making a PS2 title for the PC, the small differences Ive seen must have taken an extra effort to implement without detracting from the game, and took extra effort to implement which they neednt have made

im sure it will look better as theyve got some more time to get it all done nice and everything.
well cya,
:)
The graphics are improved but im just saying that i dont see THAT
> much of an improvment.
The graphics were impressive on the PS2, though they are, as ever, hampered my the limitations of TV...
I just thought that the graphics on the PC version looked particualry nice... there were no obvious polygons within the scenery or, most importantly, on the games characters themselves......
The background itself seemed to contain a variety of nice touches and extras which are usually left out of game development...
I'm not trying to say the PS2 version is completly overshadowed by the PC version, just that it seems that Rockstar have used the extra time to make a PC version of the game, rather than just a straight console port
You could read the signs on it aswell.
The graphics are improved but im just saying that i dont see THAT much of an improvment.
Still looks a bit better overall though.
> well i cant see many really
You kidding me?
The graphics on this look gorgeous. You can read the signs!!

lol.. oh it that all!... :)
Actually, if you compare it to their PS2 GTA piccies there is a surprising amount of difference...
They just look really shiney.
