Are they official ones? If they are official you can send them back and they'll replace them for free. If not exchange them at computer exchange or gamestation or somewhere, they dont test them often.

Why don't you go into a shop and look at an XBox controller.
Then your broken controller will seem like a breath of fresh air. :-)

I think most videogame stuff is only garanteed for 90 days (about 3 months), but the garantees don't mean a lot. If you've had them less than a year you can probably still get them fixed and if they refuse just say you'll ring the trading standards people and they'll probably fix them a bit sharpish rather than get in trouble with the law.

Maybe this would work. But I rang up Sony about a PS2 pad and they said they only give 3 month guarantees on controllers as they are used alot. Maybe Nintendo give longer guarantees, but if its a controller you had on launch day they may say that its down to every day wear and tear. Ring up the Nintendo help to see what they do in these situations.

Well going down to GAME at 3 in the morning, clad in army gear, and breaking into the store is one way to get a pad or two... or a few hundred to flog on E-Bay... What, no one else has done that?
