3000?! Geez! Why did this happen? I'm assuming it's to do with the increased size of the website or something technical like that, but 4000 characters gave me the freedom to write reviews which - in my opinion - were good, as I could cover everything I wanted to. Now I find myself too restricted and unable to cover every aspect of the game.

AS I've said before you can't really get much information about a game from 3,000 characters (NOT words) if you look at game reviews in magazines they normally cover 1 maybe 2 pages (I know a lot of the space is taken up by pics)
I think you should let the writer's/readers decide on the length of the reviews they write/read. If you want to write a huge review you should be allowed to. Some people are better are writing long reviews than short ones and feel they get more across to the reader about the game itself. There isn't a minimum on how many characters there has to be so people aren't forced to write big reviews if they don't want to or if they unable to.
Also the reader can decide weather to read the short reviews or the long reviews. If they want to read a long one they can and if they want to read a short one they can. Personally I like really long reviews as I want as much information about a game as I can get. Reviews (especially by game players themselves) really help me decide if I should buy a game or not.

Oh, come on! That's just plain mean!!!
So, although I like to rant a lot (you can tell just from this post) I do think that smaller reviews are probably for the better. I know I rarely read the long reviews, even though I post huge ones myself
