ive done all that lot and im up to the part where you have to pass for a retinal scan to get into the big hall thing.
how do i pass the retinal scan?
do i have to beat up a guard or something?

how do i get a gun off the guards?
Go to the central bit of Shell 1. There's a bridge from the EF connecting bridge, I think. The other bridge got trashed when Fortune decked the Marines. Put uniform on, and go find one of the guns the guards carry round. You've got to go find Ames, he's on the bottom level.
Go to strut F to find the M4 and the AK. They are in rooms which can be opened after you got that new next level card. Then go to EF connecting bridge....

what do i have to do when the ninja dude gives me the suit and everything?

Go to strut A
Go on the roof
You will see a elevator
step onto it.
stand for a few seconds
a cut scene will start
Go right back to he place where you started as raiden. the bomb is under the sumbermarine on top of the water.

where you initially start as raiden its there on the under side of the boat so run around so you can stand on the land and then aim upwards to get it easily iyer its the very first area - you have to go back down the outside lift then after that u must fight fortune!
Under the sub in the room you first go into when you start the Plant.
